Angled striking plate for recess in door lining

The angled striking plate (10) consists of two arms of unequal length and joined at right-angles to each other. The wider arm (12) has holes for the catch and bolt and has several bored-holes (14). The outer narrower arm (13) is contained in an outward-widening hole in the door lining (1). The striking plate is joined by two or more strips (23-25) using metric screws (45,46). The strips are joined to a fixture plate (11) and have threaded screw holes at the ends and coaxial with the holes bored in the wider arm of the striking plate. Fixture screws (32-34) are screwed into the screw holes.
