<p>A coated optical fiber which has a glass fiber comprising a quartz glass core and a quartz glass cladding and a primary coating and a secondary coating which are produced by photocuring a primary coating resin layer and a secondary coating resin layer provided on the surface of the glass fiber is characterized in that the maximum value AS(max) of the absorbance AS of the uncured secondary coating resin layer for the light with a wavelength in a range of 310 - 340 nm is not larger than 0.5, and the absorbance Ap of the uncured primary coating resin layer for the light with a wavelength in the same range is larger than the absorbance AS.</p> |
