Renaturation and purification of viral interleukin-10 (vIL-10)

Methods which are useful for renaturation and/or purification of viral counterparts of the cytokine interleukin-10. Mature viral IL-10 exhibits sequence differences from cellular IL-10 clustered primarily at the amino terminus, and the sequence differences are reflected in different biological and physicochemical properties. Renaturation and purification strategies are provided.
