PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform emergency running for evacuation or the like by controlling a motor drive torque so as to permit the lowest running only and calculating and indicating the residual capacity when a residual capacity allowing normal running has been lost in the main battery. SOLUTION: A main battery 1 is converted into an AC voltage by an inverter 7 and then supplied to a vehicle driving motor 8. Conversion control of the inverter 7 is performed by a controller 6. A voltage sensor 4 detects the output voltage of the main battery. A current sensor 5 detects a discharge current. A temperature sensor 2 detects the temperature of the main battery 1. The temperature is detected because the battery capacity varies depending on the temperature. An accelerator opening degree sensor 3 detects the degree of stepping on the accelerator pedal, and an indicator 9 indicates the residual capacity of the main battery 1. As a running control, three kinds of controls are performed, that is, running control during discharge end voltage drop and emergency running control in addition to the ordinary running control. |
