PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polycarbonate resin improved in moldability, mold release, and the water-repellency of a molding made therefrom by modifying the resin with a polyorganosiloxane having at least two hydroxyphenyl groups at molecular terminals. SOLUTION: This resin comprises structural units of formula I (wherein R is an aliphatic unsaturation-free hydrocarbon group; R<3> is a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, an alkoxyl or a 6-12C aryl; B is a 2C or higher alkylene or an alkyleneoxyalkylene; B' is B or O; a is 0-4; na is 0 or 1; nb is 1 or 2; and nc is 1 or 2; provided that na+nb+nc=3; n1 to n4 are each 0 or 1, and n1+n2+n3+n4=0-450) and structural units of formula II (wherein R<4> is a halogen, vinyl, allyl, a 1-10C alkyl, a 6-12C aryl or the like; a is 0-4; E is a single bond, O, CO, S or the like, methanediyl or the like or a 6-24C arylene). |
