PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a damper unit on the back of a specification switching chamber by a method wherein the damper unit to effect control of the temperature of the specification switching chamber through control of the feed of cold air to the specification switching chamber arranged in an inner box is mounted on the back of the specification switching chamber and embedded in the foamed heat insulation material during filling with a foamed heat insulation material. SOLUTION: A specification switching chamber 7 for a refrigerator switches a cooling temperature throughout a wide range and is usable in some one selected from a refrigerating room, a cold storage room, and a vegetable chamber. The outlet part of a cold air feed passage is connected to a damper unit 24 arranged at the back of the specification switching chamber 7. The damper unit 24 is provided with a damper main part 26 arranged on the rear side of a mounting plate 25 serving as a front plate and a box-form cover 27 attached to the specification switching chamber 7 in a manner to wrap the damper main part 25. The mounting plate 25 is functioned as the back plate of the specification switching chamber 7 and partitions the specification switching chamber 7 and the damper main part 26 from each other. To control an amount of cold air blown out through a supply opening 30, a baffle is arranged at a damper main part 26. |
