PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency diversity device for a vehicle for stably receiving television programs without interference, which are simultaneously transmitted with frequencies in plural applied areas at the time of using frequency diversity principle. SOLUTION: The frequency diversity device for the automobile television reception of an RF signal of a meter or decimeter wavelength, which is used in an automobile television having a first receiver 2, a second receiver 5 and a control circuit 7 is provided. The second receiver 5 detects all the input frequencies applied to the program which is previously set, and the first receiver 2 is switched to the input frequency of the high characteristics. The first receiver 2 can identify the frequency applied to the desired program through transmitter identification codes added to the respective signals. The codes are VPS identification signals. The control circuit 7 compares the input frequency with the frequency of the signal transmitted by the television receiver and decides the signal of the high characteristic. Since the device has the spatial position coordinate of the television, the frequency to be evaluated is limited only to such one that is scheduled in the applied area of the television. |
