PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device whereby a vertical direction of an air bag main unit can be preferentially swollen to unfold also an intermediate height swelling speed can be delayed, when the air bag device is operated. SOLUTION: An air bag device assembled in a steering wheel or the like of an automobile comprises an inflator 12, bag main unit 14 mounted in a folding condition in the inflator 12, and a cover unit 16 having a hinge door part 18. The bag main unit 14, in which cross folded horizontally long narrow-shaped right/left both side parts are formed by the inflator 12 and the cover unit 16, is stored in a condition of outer roll winding in a right/left storage space. |
