PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image processor which contributes to reduce erroneous detection of a preceding vehicle and an obstacle even when the shade is picked up in a road image. SOLUTION: An image inputting part 11 which photographs a road image in front of a vehicle, a photographic direction detecting part 14 which detects the photographic direction that is photographed, a clock part 15 which times the current date and time and a current position measuring part 13 which detects the current position of a vehicle of its own are prepared, a shade direction arithmetic part 16 estimates a shade shape that appears on a photographed road image based on a photographic direction, a current date and time and a vehicle position, and an image processing part 12 detects an obstacle or a preceding vehicle on the road based on an estimated shade shape. |
