PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the vibration of a pipeline by restraining a hydraulic force, generated by pressure fluctuation due to switching of a four-way valve upon finishing defrosting operation, in an air conditioner. SOLUTION: The control of defrosting in an air conditioner, equipped with a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, an outdoor heat exchanger 3, an outdoor choking mechanism 5, an indoor heat exchanger 8 and an indoor choking mechanism 9, is effected by a method wherein the indoor choking mechanism 8 is choked to a minute opening degree, then, the four-way valve is switched after a predetermined period of time and, the operation of air conditioner is restored to heating operation successively upon finishing defrosting operation for circulating refrigerant through refrigerating cycle to remove frost, adhered to the outdoor heat exchanger 3 during the heating operation. |
