The element includes a first substrate element manufactured from a semiconductor material, which comprises an electron discharge section on a surface, in which several emitters are formed. A second substrate element is provided with a surface which is arranged opposite the electron discharge section. A frame part (13) holds the electron discharge section and the surface in a predetermined distance, which is continuously proportionate between the electron discharge section and the surface. An airtight seal is arranged between internal surface sections of the first and the second substrate element and the frame part, and outer electron layers are formed on outside surface areas of the first and the second substrate part.
