PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a crosslinked polypropylene resin foam excellent in fabricability and soundproofing properties. SOLUTION: The production process comprises crosslinking by irradiation with an ionizing radiation a foamable resin composition comprising 10-40wt.% conjugated diene polymer having an absorption peak of tanδin the range of -20 to 40 deg.C when determined by dynamic viscoelasticity measurement or a hydrogenation product thereof and 90-60wt.% polypropylene resin, a heat- decomposable blowing agent and a crosslinking aid and foaming the crosslinked product by heating.
