PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain particularly rapid synchronization in an internal combustion engine with two camshafts by arranging a specified camshaft sensor wheel at a second camshaft, and putting crankshaft and first camshaft sensor wheels in specific rotation. SOLUTION: A second sensor wheel 14 is connected to a first camshaft 15 of an internal combustion engine and provided with an angle mark 16 at its peripheral part. The angle mark 16 is extended over an angle of 180 deg.. An angle mark 19 is also extended over an angle of 180 deg. in the same way. A first camshaft sensor wheel is rotated being shifted by an angleα1 to a cranshaft sensor wheel. A second camshaft sensor wheel is rotated being shifted by an angleα2 to the first camshaft sensor wheel, andα2 is advantageously about 180 deg.. The angleα1 is 45 deg. and is an angle between the start end part of the angle mark 16 and the terminal end part of a reference mark 13.
