PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer dye receiving sheet in which an image transfer part can be released easily and pasted onto various articles without causing any defective traveling at the time of printing. SOLUTION: A separator part 4 obtained by applying a releasing agent layer 3 to a releasing sheet basic material 2 is bonded to a receiving sheet part 7 obtained by applying an image receiving layer 6 to a receiving sheet basic material 5 such that the releasing agent layer 3 is bonded to the receiving sheet basic material 5 through an adhesive layer 8. The adhesive layer 8 and/or the receiving sheet part 7 is then subjected to discontinuous half-cut processing having one or more bridge part 12 of 1.5mm or shorter thus forming a cutting part region of desired shape and dimensions. Furthermore, formation of burr can be prevented by subjecting the bridge part 12 to quarter cutting 13.
