The IC (2) contains a semiconducting substrate (3) with an active surface provided with connecting elements (4) and partially covered by an insulating layer (5) which leaves connecting elements free. The insulating layer contains separate blocks (6,7), each of which encloses a connecting element. A block encloses several connecting elements. There is a non-linear external edge (8) between two adjacent connecting elements in this block.
