PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize data stored in a storage medium and to reproduce them in various forms. SOLUTION: A first read-out means 2 reads out data (including reproduction managing information) stored in a second storage area 1b of a storage medium 1 and stores them in other storage medium 3. A first reproducing means 4 reproduces data read out from a first storage area 1a of the storage medium 1 by the first read-out means 2. A second read-out means 5 reads out data stored in the other storage medium from the first read-out means 2 and outputs them to a second reproducing means 6. The second reproducing means 6 reproduces the data received from the second read-out means 5. A control means 7 synchronizes (links) the reproduction of data by the first reproducing means 4 with the reproduction of data by the second reproducing means 6.
