DEVICE FOR JUDGING CAUSE OF ABNORMALITY OF DISTRIBUTION LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to judge the abnormality of waveforms and to reduce the cost without preparing a plurality of waveforms for the typical pattern, by identifying the kind of abnormal waveform when abnormality occurs in a distribution line, and displaying the cause of the abnormality in correspondence with the abnormal waveform. SOLUTION: An abnormal-waveform detecting means H1 detects the zero-phase voltage and the zero-phase current generating in a distribution line, discriminates the occurrence of the abnormality in the distribution line based on both detected values and detects the zero-phase voltage waveform and the zero-phase current waveform when the abnormality has occurred at the same time. An abnormality-cause detecting and storing means H2 classifies the causes of the abnormalities in correspondence with the abnormal waveforms obtained based on the accident data actually occurred in the past and the experiment data and stores the causes. A control means H4 identifies the kind of abnormal waveform detected by the abnormal-waveform detecting means H1, reads out the cause of the abnormality in correspondence with the identified waveform kind from the abnormality-cause storing means H2 and outputs the read-out abnormality cause to a display means H3.
