PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molded product easily moldable and capable of exhibiting highly excellent biodegradability by molding a resin mixture where in a biodegradable resin is blended with a specific resin. SOLUTION: This molded product contains at least (A) a biodegradable resin and (B) a water-absorbing resin as the main components of the molding material. The component A is, optionally, a product obtained from a natural polymeric compound such as cellulose or its derivative or starch, or a product obtained from a synthetic polymeric compound, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol. The component B is preferably carboxymethylcellulose, chitin or chitosan. The blending ratio of the component A in the molded product is preferably 50-90 pts.wt., more preferably 60-80 pts.wt. The component B is preferably in the form of powder with a particle size of 0.1μm to 1mm. Thus, the usefulness of this molded product as e.g. a resin product for foods or an agricultural resin material to be disposed of is feasible.
