PURPOSE:To allow accurate positional registration through simple operation by detecting coordinate values at a designated point and computing a position to be registered based on the coordinate values thus detected and the coordinate values of a map image prestored in a memory section. CONSTITUTION:The terminal comprises an RF receiving section 1, a control section 2, and a data processing section 3. An arithmetic processing section 4 in the data processing section 3 develops map image data stored in the memory section 5 onto a liquid crystal display section 6 thus describing a map. A user designates an arbitrary point to be registered on a touch panel 7 in reference to the map image on the LCD section 6. The arithmetic processing section 4 recognizes a coordinate point designated on the touch panel 7 and retrieves positional information at a coordinate point matching on the X, Y coordinates of the map from the memory section 5. Positional information at a matched coordinate point is registered, as the positional information designated by the user, automatically in the memory section 5. |
