PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a person on the basis of different eyegrounds image data, or retrieve desired storage data using an index, by sorting eyegrounds, images according to an objective criterion on the basis of data resulting from the processing and analysis of the eyegrounds images. SOLUTION: An eyegrounds image is entered at a step S102 and binary coded. A vascular image is extracted at a step S103 and formed into fine lines, thereby finding vascular branch and intersection points at a step S104. A Voronoi diagram is prepared using the branch and intersection points as mother points at a step S105, and the area of Boronoi polygons surrounding each mother point of the Voronoi diagram is calculated at a step S106. Then, images are sorted on the basis of the calculated area and the number of the polygons at a step 107, and data is stored at a step S108. |
