<p>A light-in-weight portable television receiver or computer monitor has doors (13, 17) that close over its display screen (12), to facilitate it being transported by a child of nine or ten years of age. The display screen (12) is substantially vertical during normal viewing. These doors (13, 17) have loudspeakers (14-16, 18-20) on their interior surfaces, which doors (13, 17) open out from the sides of the cabinet (10) to space the loudspeakers (14-16, 18-20) further apart for better stereophonic sound reproduction. Console or hutch types of cabinets for television receivers can also employ hinge-pin portions (133, 134) for swinging the doors (13, 17) over the display screen (12).</p> |
