Static power converter for railway traction current supply

A power electronic circuit arrangement, especially a railway current converter, comprises at least one converter (1), especially a thyristorised converter, joined to a first voltage supply network and feeding an intermediate (link) circuit (2), plus at least another converter (3), especially a GTO type, joined to the intermediate circuit and feeding another voltage supply network (5). The second converter(s) has/have a three-point inverter construction and is/are joined to the plus, minus and middle points of the intermediate circuit. In the intermediate circuit is a network filter (9) for absorbing the double frequency of the second network. A further filter (10) is provided in the intermediate circuit to suppress the effects of both co-phased harmonic currents and also anti-phased harmonics.
