PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance serviceability by making a horizontal side fence expandable for adjustment of the lateral size of a side face according to service conditions. SOLUTION: An insertion type side fence of adjustable fence type has a first fence member 13, a pole 14 rotatably mounted at one end of the first fence member 13 support the first fence member 13, a second fence member 15 designed to be capable of being stored at the other end of the first fence member 13, and a pole 16 rotatably mounted at the end of the second fence member 15. The second fence member 15 is drawn out from the first fence member 13 according to service conditions to adjust the overall length of the fence, and the pole 16 at the second fence member 15 is held in the fence receiving pipe of a side frame 12 which corresponds to its position, thus covering the side face part of the required bed. |
