PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferentially develop an air bag in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction by controlling flow of gas from a diffuser by constituting an opening part of the diffuser so as to blow out gas burst out of an inflator in a direction inclined against a vertical direction of a diffuser surface. SOLUTION: A diffuser 18 which is a metallic plate member is arranged between an inflator 16 and an air bag and installed on an inside surface of a case 12 by welding, bolt nuts, etc. A plural number of opening parts 24 consisting of circular small holes are provided on an inclined surface on the left side on a projected part 22L on the left side from a central line C dividing this diffuser in tow left and right and on an inclined surface on the right side on a projected part 22R on the right side. Thereafter, the opening parts 24 on the left side blow out gas in a direction inclined to the left side from the vertical direction of a diffuser surface 26, while the opening parts 24 on the right side blow out gas in a direction inclined to the right side. |
