<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the whole device, and simplify the constitution by providing a vertically movable rack and a fixed pinion gear, and driving the pinion gear in rotation by a motor. SOLUTION: A rack 103 is composed of a bracket part 103a and a rack part 103b, and is arranged so that its one end is fixed to a small side plate 102 and is sandwiched from the front and the rear by a pinion gear 104. Therefore, an escape of the rack 103 in the longitudinal direction is regulated, and derailment is prevented. An end surface B of the rack 103 is arranged in a position contacting with an external of a cylindrical part A of the pinion gear 104, and an outside diamension of the cylindrical part A is set to a dimension so as not to cause biting-in of mutual gears. A shaft penetrates through a longitudinal side plate, and transmits rotational driving force to the pinion gear 104 by a transmitting means and a motor. When a driving motor rotates and the pinion gear 104 rotates in the clockwise direction, a paper discharge tray 3 descends, and when it rotates in the anticlockwise direction, the paper discharge tray 3 ascends.</p> |
