PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report the end of speaking to another hand set when there is a call request from the other hand set during speaking at one hand set and that speaking is finished by providing the hand set with a means for reporting the end of speaking when a call end signal from a base unit is detected. SOLUTION: Even when a call request signal is transmitted through a control channel by operating a speak key at the other hand set during speaking at a hand set 2A, the base unit is connected with the hand set 2A by a speech channel so that any call request signal can not be received from the other hand set. Therefore, the other hand set judges no response and sets a flag to '1'. When the speaking end signal from the base unit is received while this flag is '1', a control circuit 20 at the other hand set in the same configuration as the hand set 2A outputs prescribed tones by driving a speaker 18 for 5 seconds. Thus, the end of speaking at the hand set 2A can be known at the other hand set.
