SOLUTION: A character information acquisition means 2 receives broadcast character information and extracts information related to an electronic map presently used by a driver. A character information transformation means 3 transforms the character information into graphic information such as pictorial symbols, etc. An output display forming means 4 superimposes map data read out of a map data storage means 1 on the graphic information of the character information transformation means 3 and makes the output means 5 display the picture.
