PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk with a using capacity display device capable of displaying a using capacity on a unit body of the disk and the disk recording and reproducing device capable of displaying the using capacity even under the state of rotating this disk. SOLUTION: A display device area 4 is provided in an inner circumferential part of the disk 1, and plural sectorial electrochromic elements are provided in an annular pattern to display a circular graph. A using capacity ratio or a remaining capacity ratio to the whole capacity of the disk is calculated by a using capacity calculating part 86. A display driving signal 87a is generated by a display driving signal generating part 87 based on the calculated ratio. The display driving signal 87a is supplied via a display driving signal supplying mechanism provided on a chucking member 6 to the side of the disk 1. Stroboscopic illumination is carried out by a stroboscopic light illumination part 75 in synchronization with the rotation of the disk. Since the display state is maintained by the electrochromic elements without being supplied with an electric source, the capacity can be confirmed even by the disk unit body. |
