The fastening consists of a retaining jaw (5) to hold one end of the boot on the ski and supported by a body (6) which is fitted to the ski. The jaw can be moved by the boot against a force applied by a spring (11), and the body incorporates a compensating mechanism (16), controlled by an actuator (18). The actuator reduces the return force applied by the spring against the jaw in response to a downward thrust exerted by a thrust plate (21). On either side of its thrust zone (28) interacting with the actuator, the thrust plate has projections which engage with a plate (22) fastened to the ski and define two convergent rocking lines about which the thrust plate turns in response to forces applied by the boot.
|
