<p>The drawing board table is fitted with a double or multi-columned frame (1, 2) on which the drawing board itself is guided for telescopic height adjustment by two supports (8) mounted along the narrow sides. A cable (9) which runs over guide pulleys (11) on the frame engages each support (8) each free end of the cable being fixed to a lever and mounted on the frame, to swivel in a horizontal plane. A tension spring which produces the weight compensation for the board is clamped between the two swivel levers whilst a mechanism ensuring the smooth even adjustment movement has a gearing system (20, 21) which connect the two swivel levers or the two supports and can be locked. The weight of the drawing board is transferred by the cables to a single horizontal tension spring so that it is no longer necessary to adapt two different elements to each other for weight compensation.</p> |
