A core-shell type toner constituted of a colored core particle made of a polymer composition containing a polyfunctional ester of a carboxylic acid with an at least trihydric alcohol and a colorant and a shell covering the core particle which is made of a polymer having a glass transition temperature higher than that of the polymer component of the core particle; a process for the production thereof; a process for developing images with the toner; and image development equipment provided with the toner.
