An oil filter for use in a heating unit oil burner supply line, comprises one or more filter elements in a filter housing divided into a dirty and a clean side, an oil supply pipe and a clean oil removal pipe. An air collection chamber (9) is located in the filter housing (1) and can be vented to an oil line (7). The air collection chamber is connected to a suction removal opening (10), located at a point (11) in the line where the oil has high speed and low pressure. Use - The filter is used in a heating unit oil burner supply line. Advantage - Uncontrolled air transport is prevented.
