<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively and efficiently recover a noble metal from an aq. soln. contg. noble metallic cyano-complex ions by treating the aq. soln. with a metallic ion treating agent contg. an anthrahydroquinone compd. in the presence of a compd. reactive with cyanide ions. SOLUTION: An aq. soln. contg. noble metallic cyano-complex ions is treated with a metallic ion treating agent obtd. by carrying an anthrahydroquinone compd. on a carbonaceous porous carrier in the presence of a compd. having reactivity with cyanide ions and capable of suppressing the action of the ions, e.g. a water-soluble metallic compd. of Zn, Ni or Co capable of forming a cyano- complex or water-soluble aldehyde such as formaldehyde. The noble metallic cyano-complex ions are, e.g. dicyanoaurous complex ions, tetracyanoauric complex ions or dicyanoargentous complex ions. The anthrahydroquinone compd. is, e.g. 9,10-dihydroxyanthracene, 1,4-dihydro-9,10-dihydroxyanthracene or one of their substitution products.</p> |
