The invention concerns a device for storing and dispensing individual portions of deep-frozen food, the device having at least one heat-insulated refrigerated container (2, 101) for storing the portions, a device (8, 106) provided in the or each refrigerated container (2, 101) for discharging the portions, all the portions being individually packaged, at least one device for holding the discharged portions, and at least one device for removing the packaging or simultaneously dispensing one portion in each case. Preferably, the invention is incorporated in an automatic ice-cream dispenser and the portions are balls of ice-cream. The invention ensures that the automatic dispenser is as hygienic as possible since none of its elements come into contact with the ice-cream. Furthermore, when the refrigerated containers are filled and the individual balls of ice-cream are discharged therefrom only a very small amount of heat can be delivered, such that the present invention has a high degree of operational reliability. |
