Waste water treatment apparatus

Waste water is treated on a small-scale waste within a treatment chamber (1). The chamber (1) incorporates a frame (3) which both holds a bed (13) of bulk, especially plastic, solids, and an oxygenation assembly (6). The frame has supports or legs (12), which hold it above the chamber (1) floor and side-walls. The oxygenation assembly (6) has distribution heads (8). The bed (13) of especially plastic bulk solids acts as a substrate for microorganisms treating the waste water impurities.
