PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to reduction of part cost while realizing miniaturization of a device and to certainly prevent bad influence by electrostatic discharge relative to a document existence detection means. SOLUTION: The document feed device 20 feeds the document P filled in a paper feed tray 14 to an instrument body 11 of an image formation device 10 and is mainly formed by non-conductive synthetic resin material. A document inversion roller 50 rotatabyly and pivotally supported around a roller shaft 51 made of metal crossing the paper feed tray 14; a document existence detection means 40 provided with PI 41 having an electronic circuit substrate 45 provided with an electronic circuit for detecting existence of the document P on the paper feed tray 14; and an earth plate 60 for covering the electronic circuit substrate 45 are provided in a downstream end side of the paper feed tray 14.
