<p>The mechanism (2) consists of a thrust member (20), fixings (22), and a locking assembly (26) for one portion (21) of the thrust member against the workpiece (13). The mechanism incorporates a regulator (25) for the distance of another portion of the thrust member from the table (1), actuated by the locking mechanism so that one surface of the thrust member, e.g. the under-surface (21a) of a projection (21), is always parallel to the table. The locking assembly comprises a threaded rod (24) inside a bush (26a) with locking elements (26b,c), while the regulator has a second threaded rod with its upper end able to rotate freely in a cylindrical cavity (20b) in the thrust member while engaging with a threaded hole (23b) in another component (23) of the fastening mechanism.</p> |
