<p>An aqueous coating composition which includes an active material or composition dissolved, suspended, or emulsified in water, such as a solution or an oil-in-water emulsion, a stabilizing amount of a rheology modifying polymer, such as a crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer, and a dynamic surface tension modifying agent, having a surface tension of less than 35 dynes per centimeter, such as a silicone glycol copolymer superwetting agent, for modifying the flow characteristics of the coating composition to provide an improved wetting or uniform coating of the deliverable composition. Coatings incorporating the present invention result in reduced spotting, filming, beading and streaking. As an example, the deliverable can be droplets of solvent, silicone, dimethicone, esters, waxes, mineral oil, napathenic or paraffinic hydrocarbons, and the like, or mixtures thereof.</p> |
