PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a correction method which corrects an error caused by a change in the temperature of a gas-mixed substance to be given to a gas sensor whose electric signal is to be traced and analyzed precisely. SOLUTION: An electrochemical gas sensor 10 is provided with a temperature- detecting element such as a thermistor 26 or the like arranged inside the gas sensor in a temperature-isolated state. In the electrochemical gas sensor, the thermistor 26 prevents a slight change in the temperature of a given gas, to be detected, from being transmitted immediately to the temperature-detecting element. Therefore, a signal which is temperature-compensated precisely is provided, and the signal is combined with the generated electric output of the sensor. The temperature-detecting element, i.e., the thermistor 26, is attached to the expansive thin membrane 22 of the gas sensor 10 inside a thermal storage body, and it responds not to a change in the temperature of a gas sensor body and of a related element but only to a change in the temperature acting on an electrolytic solution 16 of the sensor 10. Therefore, the signal which is temperature-compensated precisely is provided without a delay, in terms of time, which causes an error. |
