To knot together the ends of two ties, the first tie (1) is caught to form one or more loops through an inverse square, by twisting and form the lock knot. The second tie (2) is fed within the lock knot, for the ties (1, 2) to intersect. The locking loops are pulled tight to give a locked knot structure of intersected interlacing. Also claimed is an assembly with a station (P3) and coil support (b), formed by a half outlet setter, which has a rotating and tilting movement, to intercept the twirling movement of the tie path, held between two stations (P1, P2), to give a reverse twisting coil, to be deposited by a reverse tilting action. Preferably Two sections of the same tie, forming the ends of a holding belt, or several different ties are brought together, so that each section is interlaced and intersected with the other. With a single tie, the ends are knotted to compress the object to be carried, with a locked knot. With a number of ties, one is common to the others, with locked knots at programmed intervals. A draw force is applied to the first section of the tie (1) to reduce the size of the lock and give an intersecting interlacing hold by tangling. The draw force on the second tie (2) is effected by drawing the belt tight, and compress the object being carried, The compression action is stopped by altering the pulling lines.
