PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test the medicinal effect of and to evaluate its value for curing or medicinal importance by feeding the medicine to a specified nonhuman transgenic mammal and monitoring the expression of protein. SOLUTION: A nonhuman transgenic mammal such as rodents is used and it has a transgene which codes human protein such as a hormone (an analog or the like) or the like such as human preproinsulin and (pro)insulin and which are coded with a naturally controlled transgene. A medicine such as a promoter which releases sulfonyl ureainsulin is administered to the animal and the expression or level of the protein in the animal is monitored to test the effect of the medicine on the expression or level. Thus, the effect of the medicine is evaluated.
