PURPOSE:To prevent condensed dew from being generated on the wall surface in a water can, a white smoke gas after the stoppage of combustion from being discharged, tar from accumulating and thus to prevent a water can body from being corroded, by introducing a part of combustion air in a gap formed between the bottom plate of a combustion chamber and the inner wall surface of the water can. CONSTITUTION:The burner comprises a combustion chamber 2 constituted of the inner wall surface 1 of a water can, a fire chamber bricks 4, and a bottom plate 5 placed on the upper surfaces of the bricks. A part of combustion air is introduced into a gap formed between the bottom plate 5 and the inner wall surface 1 of the water can. The fuel atomized by a fuel injection nozzle 3 is ignited to start combustion. However, since a part of combustion air is constantly ejected from the gap 6, the atomized gas is difficult to make contact with the inner wall surface 1 of the water can, and hence no dew is condensed. Even if the condensation of dew is generated, the dew does not infiltrate into the gap 6 because of its upward jet stream, and the inner wall surface of the water can in heated to a high temperature in a short period of time, and hence condensation of dew is no more generated.
