PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate an image, without requiring a memory whose capacity is larger than a capacity required for an original size. SOLUTION: A rotation processing section 5004 writes image data of an original, without changing the angle to a bit map memory 5008, when the direction of the original is the same as that of the bit memory 5008, and the data are rotated by 90 deg. when the data are read. When the direction of the original is different from that of the bit memory 5008, the data are rotated by 90 deg. and then written in the bit memory 5008, and the data are read without changing the data angle. |
