The air humidity is removed from the intake outside air through cold and the demoisturised air is then heated to 43 to 45 deg C. The extra dry warm air acts on the varroa mites to affect the function of the suction organs of the varroa so that the latter can no longer fixedly suck on the bees and fall off still alive from the bees. A vibration system accelerates the drop of the varroa mites. It comprises an electric motor (13) with two eccentric discs which vibrate springs (14). A heat recovery heat exchanger (12) is incorporated in the unit.
