<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give information about the inter-car distance to the following car, and particularly, warn the following that the car of his own is going to make steep deceleration. SOLUTION: A plurality of liquid crystal shutters 1c are furnished on the surface of a reflector 1a or a signal light 1b at the end parts of the rear of a passenger car. An inter-car distance sensor 2a to measure the distance from the foregoing car and another 2b to measure the distance form the following car are installed on the front and rear surface, respectively, of the car. A driver characteristic calculating means 3 determines the relation of the inter-car distance to the deceleration on the basis of the change in the speed of the car of his own in relation to the inter-car distance with the foregoing car given by the sensor 2a and learns the decelerative action characteristic of the driver of the car of his own. Each liquid crystal shutter 1c can be changed over between the open and close positions any as desired in accordance with the inter- car distance from the following car given by the sensor 2b and the declarative action characteristic of the driver learnt by the calculating means 3.</p> |
