PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form one catalyst bed corresponding to the treatment capacity of exhaust gas when deodorizing treatment is performed by recovering and reutilizing the heat of treated exhaust gas while alternately changing over supply and discharge directions to maximally develop the treatment capacity thereof and to extend the life of a product without generating the adhesion of tar. SOLUTION: Two heating zones 6A, 6B equipped with heaters 5A, 5B heating untreated exhaust gas introduced from respective heat accumulation chambers 4A, 4B are formed to an exhaust gas treatment chamber 2 on both sides thereof so as to hold a catalyst bed 7. Even if exhaust gas is allowed to flow in any direction, the untreated exhaust gas is heated in the heating zones 5A, 6B on this side of the catalyst bed 7 and passed through the catalyst bed 7 to be deodorized. By this constitution, the catalyst bed 7 is always held to catalytic combustion temp. and the treatment capacity thereof is developed maximally and the adhesion of tar is not generated. |
