PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a sesaminol triglucoside useful for foods, medicines, cosmetics, etc., in a high yield by extracting degreased sesame seeds by hot water of a specific temperature, bringing the extract into contact with an adsorbing agent composed of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon- based polymer, and further allowing the adsorbing agent to elute the adsorbed material. SOLUTION: A hot water-soluble component is extracted from degreased sesames by using hot water having >=50 deg.C temperature to obtain an extract dissolving the hot water-soluble component, and further the extract is brought into contact with an adsorbing agent composed of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon- based polymer to adsorb an adsorbable component included in the extract on the polymeric adsorbing agent and to form the polymeric adsorbing agent adsorbing the adsorbable component. Further, the objective sesaminol triglucoside having an eliminating effect of a hydroxy radical, an inhibiting effect of lipid peroxidation, etc., in a biosystem is obtained by desorbing and eliminating the sesaminol triglucoside in the adsorbable component adsorbed on the polymeric adsorbing agent from the polymeric adsorbing agent adsorbing the adsorbable component by using 40-80vol.% aqueous ethanol. |
