PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focusing mode switching device capable of easily and adequately performing manual focusing even though an automatic focusing mode is set. SOLUTION: This focusing mode switching device 1 is loaded on a single lens reflex camera having an automatic focusing mechanism, and constituted of a motor' 2, a speed change mechanism 3, a clutch mechanism 4, a connecting shaft 5, an output shaft 6, a focusing mode switching mechanism 7, a detecting means 8, and a control means 9. When the automatic focusing mode is set by the mechanism 7, a cam member 73 falls, so that the joint 63 of the shaft 6 protrudes from the front surface of a mount 10, and rotational force can be transmitted to a follower shaft 20 of a photographing lens. In the mode, when the focus ring of the photographing lens is manually rotated and operated, the means 8 detects that, and the means 9 controls the operation of a solenoid 41 so that the mechanism 4 interrupts the transmission of power. |
