<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized lightweight volume reducing apparatus for waste plastic materials which can control the spreading of exhaust gas odors by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A volume reducing apparatus is equipped with a treatment container 2, a pressurization part 3 which is installed in the container 2 and reduces the volume of softened waste plastic materials 28 by pressurization, and a hot air circulating passage 11 which is made to communicate with the container 2 and circulates high temperature gas for softening the waste plastic materials 28. A means for supplying outside air into the hot air circulating system is installed, a discharge route 12 for discharging part of the circulating high temperature gas is made to communicate with it, and an oxidation part 14 is formed in the route 12 to constitute the apparatus. Inflammable gas discharged in balance between sucked air and discharged high temperature gas is burned smokelessly and simultaneously made odorless and harmless to be discharged outside the system, preventing air pollution on the periphery.</p> |
