摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain thermal stencil printing base paper having an excellent image sharpness and esp. a high strength and good running properties resulting in excellent plate making properties and printability. CONSTITUTION: Thermal stencil printing base paper is formed by bonding a porous substrate (B) made of a synthetic fiber having a birefringence (Δn2) of 5×10<-1> -1×10<-4> on one surface of a thermoplastic polyester film (A) having a birefringence (Δn1) of 1×10<-1> -1×10<-3> without providing an adhesive between them.Δn1 andΔn2 meet the following formula (1).|Δn1-Δn2|<=0.2 (1).
